Role Summary

In search of a passionate Business Development Manager to take charge of generating new business opportunities and expanding our presence in the North of England, Ireland, and Scotland. The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships with key stakeholders, driving revenue growth, and passionately sharing our brand story to inspire product selection throughout the specification process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for the designated regions.
  • Identify and build relationships with potential resellers, end clients, design practices, and specification partners.
  • Cultivate long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, including designers, purchasers, and project managers.
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities through networking, market research, and social media engagement.
  • Present engaging proposals and marketing materials that align with our brand identity.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and consistently meet revenue targets.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for your accounts, ensuring seamless communication and support.
  • Organize and participate in client engagement activities such as lunch-and-learns, showroom visits, and industry events.
  • Keep clients informed about new product releases and company updates.
  • Deliver product training to clients to ensure they are well-versed in technical specifications.
  • Track client interactions and opportunities using CRM tools to support strategic marketing efforts.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Host and participate in regional social events and client visits.

Skills & Competencies

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the furniture industry, with established contacts in the relevant territories.
  • Proven ability to exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Strong industry networking skills and established connections.
  • Experience selling to the design and workplace sectors.
  • Proficiency with IT systems, CRM software, and digital marketing tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with a creative mindset for spotting opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel across the designated regions, including overnight stays as needed.
